Gwinnett Hospital System
Gwinnett Hospital System is a not-for-profit health care system serving Gwinnett County, Georgia and the surrounding area. Facilities served by chaplains are: Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Level II trauma center with upwards of 250 beds; Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth, an 81-bed hospital opened in 2006; Glancy Rehabilitation Center, a 30-bed physical rehabilitation center; and Summit Ridge Center for Behavioral Health with 70 inpatient beds inpatient beds for adults and adolescents and outpatient services for adults and adolescents; and Gwinnett Extended Care Center, an 89-bed sub-acute and long term care facility.
Northside Hospital opened in 1970 and was the first hospital to build north of central Atlanta. When new construction is completed, the main Atlanta campus will have 537 beds, with campuses in Alpharetta, Cumming, and Canton. Renowned for its expertise in women’s services, Northside ranks first in the nation among community hospitals in the number of babies delivered. Northside Hospital’s specialists perform more surgeries than any other hospital in Georgia and diagnose and treat more cases of breast and gynecological cancer than any other hospital in Georgia.
